Digital Marketing Specialist job description

Responsibilities


Responsible for updating and managing content on company’s websites using content management system. Execute web content optimization projects, including conducting A/B testing for campaign landing pages. Document digital marketing processes and best practices, including web content management, digital campaign optimization, and reporting & analytics. Provide performance reporting for digital marketing initiatives. Maintain, develop and optimize reporting dashboards utilizing innovative approach. Assist with updates to the company’s domain portfolio and URL redirects. Work within analytical platforms to create online strategies. Develop and maintain annual business plans and proformas demonstrating optimization of KPIs. Support B2B platforms with content implementation and measurement.

Core responsibilities and capabilities include:

  • Collaborate with marketing teammates to manage and optimize campaigns to meet and surpass established KPIs and volume goals.
  • Serve as a liaison with cross-functional team members across the organization and external vendors to manage their assigned projects, track their progress, evaluate quality assurance, and ensure all are delivered on-target, on-time and within predetermined budgets in support of a consistent customer experience throughout a consumer’s purchase process.
  • Fulfilling ad hoc requests for digital marketing support.
  • Identify, conduct and leverage B2B and customer data insights, competitive analyses, industry best practices and past program learnings to develop and enhance campaign strategies and tactics.
  • Develop and execute campaign testing plans designed to improve KPIs and operating efficiencies.
  • Lead development and implementation of tactical marketing action plans in accordance with the approved strategies.
  • Identify and maintain consumer segments, and provide the appropriate communications at every stage of the customer journey to facilitate closing the sale.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to craft and enhance compelling communication strategies throughout the customer journey
 

Skills & Abilities

  • Experience with effective digital campaigns, optimization strategies, measurement and analytics. Adobe Omniture experience is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on multi-channel performance marketing campaign experience, mobile, CTA-driven email; exposure to SEO and content marketing.
  • Ability to develop targeting strategies for key segments, development of executional and programmatic plans to support them in practice.
  • Implementation of A/B or multi-variate testing.
  • Experience in building business/system processes, SOPs, business rules, functional requirements and use cases.
  • Experience with data extracts and modeling is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to synthesize raw data into actionable campaign optimization strategies for new and existing initiatives.
  • Self-starter capable of taking direction and working independently with positive attitude, strong drive to succeed and tenacity to overcome systems and resource constraints in an environment that requires process and data-driven creativity.
  • Strong time and project management skills with proven track record of successfully growing budgets and prioritizing multiple projects based on their projected ‘return on effort’.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, at ease with communicating to senior management, peers and others in the organization.
  • Flexible, with the ability to adapt to changing needs and circumstances
  • Available for occasional travel
 

Education Requirements
BA or BS with prime emphasis in marketing is required.
 

Experience Requirements

Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on experience managing multi-channel digital lead generation performance marketing campaigns; background in financial or automotive is preferred.
  • Experience with CMS systems (ideally Sitecore), experience with CRM (ideally Salesforce) and Marketing Automation platforms.
  • Basic understanding of HTML.
  • Good understanding of campaign tracking principles. Aptitude with Google Analytics and / Adobe Analytics.
  • Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness, working both independently and with a team.
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions.
