When did John work with you and for how long?
At LyonHeart (aka LLNS) during 2009 (briefly around August) and again from Feb 2010 til I left around August 2010.
Was this freelance or a fulltime relationship? What was John's position? Can you describe the job responsibilities?
I was a consultant. John was a fulltime employee. I believe his title was Director of Interactive. He was responsible for a wide variety of creative and administrative issues running the Interactive dept and creating multimedia campaigns for the pharmaceutical industry. He also did a ton of other things, like editing and creating videos, doing an iPhone/iPad demo, doing web sites, etc.
Did John miss a lot of work? Was John frequently late? Were there any issues you are aware of that impacted John's job performance?
John was always very diligent in his work habits. A very motivated and hard-working guy with a very broad skillset.
Did John get along well with management and co-workers?
John was one of my favorite co-workers. I found him very easy to work with, and the co-workers we had in common seemed to like him as well.
How did John handle conflict? How about pressure? Stress?
LyonHeart was an insane place to work and was extraordinarily stressful for myriad reasons. John is a real trooper who works well under pressure.
Can you speak to John's software capabilities?
John and I have different skillsets. My strength is ActionScript, and I would rate him as an above average ActionScript 2 programmer. He is stronger than me in a number of other software areas, such as HTML5. John is very technical, with a strong knowledge of 3D, video, graphics, etc. He is incredibly strong in the creative area, and he has the technical chops to back it up (i.e., create web sites, etc.) Again, my specialty is Actionscript 3, and I'm not a creative type, so our skills don't overlap a ton, but what I know of his skills impresses me.
Would you work with John again if the opportunity arose?
I would gladly work with John and have recommended his services to colleagues and clients when the opportunity arises.
